Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and AI Lunchroom ("AI Lunchroom," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your access to and use of ailunchroom.com, the AI Lunchroom application, and the knowledgebase (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

2. What AI Lunchroom is (and is not)

AI Lunchroom is a practice platform for building everyday AI skills. You complete short "labs" by preparing context, generating prompts, and running them in your own third‑party AI tools, then reviewing the results. AI Lunchroom does not provide the AI models themselves, and is not professional, legal, financial, medical, or other expert advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI output before relying on it or using it at work.

3. Accounts

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. One account is for one person; do not share accounts.

4. Third‑party AI tools and your content

When you use an outside AI tool with AI Lunchroom, you are subject to that provider's terms and policies, and you are responsible for your use of it. Do not submit confidential, proprietary, regulated, or personal information about other people into outside AI tools or into the Service, and comply with all laws and your employer's policies.

You retain ownership of the content you create in the Service (e.g., answers, prompt cards, notes) ("User Content"). You grant us a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service. If you publish content to a public profile, you grant other users a license to view and reuse it within the Service. You are responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the rights to it.

6. Virtual items (Lunch Money, badges, levels)

The Service may include virtual currency ("Lunch Money"), badges, levels, and similar in‑app items. These have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money, and are non‑transferable. We may modify, manage, or remove virtual items at any time.

7. Free access (no paid plans today)

The Service is currently free to use, and we do not charge fees, sell subscriptions, or process payments. We have no paid plans at this time, and there is no automatic billing or renewal. We may introduce paid features in the future (for example, team or organization plans). If we do, we will present the pricing, billing, and plan terms to you clearly before you are asked to pay, you will have a chance to review and accept them, and those additional terms will form part of these Terms. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes that affect any future paid plan.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, content, curriculum, knowledgebase, and trademarks, is owned by AI Lunchroom or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business training purposes, subject to these Terms. No other rights are granted.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

10. Disclaimers

The service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non‑infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or secure, or that any AI output is accurate, complete, or suitable for your use.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Lunchroom and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI Lunchroom and its team from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, your use of outside AI tools, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Franklin County, North Carolina will have jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
